The Central Operating Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard is registering the homes in Madrid of the former president of Adif Isabel Pardo de Vera and the former director general of Carreteras Javier Herrero, within the judicial actions of the Koldo case, sources close to the investigation have indicated to Efe.

The judge who investigates the so -called Koldo Case in the Supreme Court last Friday requested the National Court to investigate the “consistent indications” against Pardo de Vera and Javier Herrero in alleged irregular awards to construction. The decision about his imputation is in the hands of the National Court, since none are.

In the office sent by the UCO, it is detailed that both would have “been able to provide, within the framework of the undue awards” assistance to the former Minister José Luis Ábalos through his ex -assistant Koldo García. Specifically, that help would have been destined to “that the awards projected by them could reach a good term”, immediately facilitating the convenient information that it worked in the different files, or the output to tender of others, following the guidelines that the minister, through his advisor, gave them.

According to this UCO report, Koldo García “was allegedly worth the then president of Adif, Isabel Pardo de Vera, and the Director General of Roads, Javier Herrero”, for the “manipulation” of hiring processes. In the investigation, a conversation is reflected, recorded by Koldo García on November 18, 2020, in which he requests the then president of Adif an award for “LIC, at first trying to be maintenance, and before the refusal of Pardo de Vera, proposing that it was emergency”.

What Pardo de Vera reminded him that they had just granted a little time and give him another was going to be suspicious, although “he committed,” according to the agents, “to weigh the options to be able to award some work to the construction company.” “We have given him one of 700,000, he does nothing, huh. He does anything, is that again he will sing, let him look at him,” said Pardo de Vera to Garcia, who “departed directly” with the leader of Adif.
