John Cena has as a mission to become a WWE world champion for the 17th time on his farewell tour. Recently, The Undertaker shared his thoughts about whether this should come true.

The leader of the Cenation and Ric Flair are tied with the greatest number of reigns as world champion in the history of professional wrestling, with 16 each. Dinner is 13 times WWE champion and 3 times heavyweight worldwide champion, while The Nature Boy is 16 times world champion in several promotions, although that number has been debated over the years.

During an interview with Bully Ray in the podcast Busted Open After DarkThe Undertaker revealed feelings found about the possibility that John Cena exceeds Ric Flair as a world champion for the 17th time. He recognized the business perspective but also considered the dedication, the hard work and the significant contributions of dinner to the WWE, including his beneficial works:

“Honestly, I've been undecided. I didn't have a problem; I don't know if I will have a problem if John (Dinner) wins and breaks the record (the 16 reigns of Ric Flair). I looked at things not only from a business aspect, I think about the way he did everything, he was the company's face, he did not take a free day, he made all the additional means, he made all the Make-A-Wishes, (and all those things.

The Phenom finally suggested that breaking the record could be an adequate reward for the immense dinner impact on the company. Added:

“So, there are certain moments when you simply think, you know what, 'give the type a bone.' If that is the case, it is probably not the most purist vision of wrestling, it is a more sentimental vision on my part. ” (From 13:35 to 14:26)
