Stephanie McMahon was influential in the creation of one of the premium live events of only more famous in WWE's history. She, along with fans, will probably be happy with the return of the successful ple after almost seven years.
In the last episode of Wrestlevotes Radio a WrestlebingeJoeyvotes and TC reported that after six and a half years, WWE is ready to bring back the Premium event (“PLE”), Evolution. In case you do not remember in October 2018, fans witnessed the first and only payment event to see exclusive for women in the history of the company. Despite being a success, it has not been done again in more than decade.
Joeyvotes and TC reported that WWE plans to bring back the exclusively female PLE around the summer of 2025. The announcement is expected to be made in the next few days in early April. The Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut, is being explored as a possible place.
The Evolution event was headed by a confrontation by Raw's female title between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella. However, the confrontation by the female title of SmackDown between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch stole the show.
Could this be the resurgence so necessary for WWE's female division?
The Evolution Ple will be even more exciting this time due to how full the female roster is.
Names such as Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Lyra Valkyria, Chelsea Green, Liv Morgan and Tiffany Stratton will make the event even more interesting this time. Most of the current stars were not present or were not outstanding names when the latest edition of Evolution occurred.
While WWE was taking advantage of a female division in rapid ascent with stars like Becky Lynch, what we have now is a roster of female stars more established and mature, many of which can justify lead a live premium event.
The management of the female division has been criticized during the era of triple H, with some critics believing that, except for some stars such as Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton, not many female stars have been outstanding names.
While there are certainly many improvements to make, the rivalry for the Women's World Championship in RAW has revived some interest, thanks to the combination of star names. But Evolution can help boost division to even greater heights if it is done well. With luck, another successful edition can convince executives to turn it into an annual ple.
