“I present Anas Jamal to Sharif, from Al Jazeera, the most prolific 'journalist' that remains in northern Gaza. Virtually all the propaganda that comes from Yabalia leaves this monster. They do not create a word of what he says,” wrote Israeli analyst Eitan Fischberger on October 22 in a thread in the social network X.

The day after the publication, the Israel army included Al Sharif on his Hamas terrorist list along with five other journalists from the Catarí Canal. “Confirmed less than 24 hours later”, presumed fischberger, former army sergeant. In the following weeks and months, the spokesman for the Armed Forces of Israel in Arabic, Avichay Adraee, He undertook a campaign on networks against Sharifaccusing him of being part of a military unit of Hamas and laughing at one of his emissions in which he breaks to cry when he informs of the famine. “A drama played with the performance of Anas al Sharif,” joked Adraee.

The operation of harassment came to such an extent that the Committee for the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) issued a statement on July 24 announcing his “concern” for the security of the journalist, claiming that the campaign “represents an effort to manufacture the consent to kill Al Sharif”. Read that statement now puts the hair on end. Less than three weeks later, on August 11, the Army, as the CPJ predicted, murdered Al Sharif with his press vest on. “Buh Bye, Anas, we barely knew you,” Fischberger celebrated.

The CNN published that before the war, Al Sharif worked for a media team of Hamas and Fischberger published journalist's selfies with leaders of the group several years ago and messages of support during October 7. The army even accused him of being commander of an armed unit of Hamas. Since the beginning of the war, the journalist had become the best known face of Al Jazeera in Gaza for his informative coverage. Virtually all human rights agencies denounced the murder, since Israel could never show conclusive evidence of their accusations.

The Al Sharif case reflects a perverse support and cooperation system between propagandists and the state of Israel. This week we have seen him again after the murder of six journalists at Nasser Hospital. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, He described it as “tragic accident”but there was Fischberger to publish a New thread in x linking the five journalists killed with Hamas. Afterwards, Fischberger's publications and other propagandists circulated by groups of Israeli and international journalists promoted by representatives of institutions dedicated to defending the war of punishment in Gaza. And so they try to impose their story.

Image of the attack against the hospital to Nasser in which five journalists died.

By the way, the accident theory at the Nasser hospital raised by Netanyahu is difficult to sustain, since the army first attacked the hospital and, when rescue operations, doctors and journalists came to the place, hit exactly again at the same point. It is an old tactic that practically guarantees the murder of civilians. In addition, the brigade responsible for the attack, the Golani, is the same that murdered 15 humanitarian workers in April and buried them with their vehicles in a common grave. Then, the journalistic investigations presented one by one the lies of the army about the event: since they were not identified (they carried uniforms and the vehicles had the emergency lights on) until the shots went from afar (an investigation concluded that the shootings were made a short distance).

A video of the Golani troops issued by Channel 14 of Israel in April shows the soldiers receiving information before re -entering Gaza. In a moment of the cut you see a battalion leader who seems to give them free way to shoot at discretion. “Everyone you are with is an enemy. If you identify someone, you eliminate it,” he says.

They also became famous for the song written by a member of the Battalion 51 of the Brigade, turned into an unofficial hymn for many soldiers. “From what you did to the nation of Israel, the golani comes with gasoline … Gaza will burn,” says the lyrics.

“The myth of journalists in Gaza”

Other propagandists have also justified the last murder of journalists at Nasser Hospital. Khaled Hassan He has defended the death of one of them Because he covered the show mounted by Hamas to deliver the bodies of hostages who died during the top fire. Hassan, in addition to praise the figure of the Saudi heir princeMohamed Bin Salmán – who considers the “greatest inspirational leader” of his generation – and ensure that in the Arab world the monarchy is the only viable system – suggesting that They are not prepared for democracy-, he repeatedly praises Israeli ministers in their publications.

When the army named Al Sharif as a terrorist, there were five other jazeera journalists on his list, including Hossam Shabbat. Hours after the announcement, Hassan (the propagandist) published on social networks that he had investigated Shabbat and even informed the army of his alleged terrorist activity. “I explicitly asked Hossam to collaborate with the army and pass any information about Hamas's hostages or terrorists. Sadly, he did not listen,” he wrote. “Yesterday was named among the journalists who, in fact, are terrorists. I really tried to help you, Hossam. Now it is too late,” he added.

Hossam was killed in an attack directly directed against his carmarked as a press, in March this year. The Israeli army said he was a sniper of Hamas and the CPJ condemned the murder and asked Israel to “stop making accusations of terrorism without a basis to justify the death of Palestinian journalists.”

Among the army of propagandists is also Leslie Kajomovitz, who denies the occupation of Israel “because you cannot occupy what is already yours” and who have even suspended their account in X for breaching the rules. In a recent article in his blog entitled “The myth of Gaza journalists: unmasking the propaganda machinery,” Kajomovitz says that 50% of murdered journalists have direct links with terrorism, that 27% were not journalists and that only 23% “could be described as independent journalists.” Then go to attack individually to a list of journalists killed by the Army. In other articles he does the same with doctors and health personnel who work in the Palestinian enclave.

They accuse the UN of the famine

But the propagandist network is not only limited to putting journalists in Gaza in the target. At the end of July, a group of influencers, including Fischberger, They entered Gaza with the Army From Israel to show humanitarian aid without distributing and accusing the UN of the famine in the strip. Then Fischberger got Publish a column in the newspaper Wall Street Journalgiving its accusations an unparalleled scope and legitimacy.

“I have seen the huge amounts of humanitarian aid that the UN has refused to distribute. What has impacted me most have been the thousands and thousands of kilos of baby food cooking under the Sun of the Middle East,” he writes in the renowned newspaper. The analyst even compares the humanitarian 'effort' of Israel in Gaza with the air shipping for Berlin aid between 1948 and 1949, when the allies delivered 2.5 million tons. “Even then, the aid went to an allied population (and not an enemy like La Gazatí),” he says.

Trucks loaded with humanitarian aid wait on the Egyptian side of the border with Gaza.

The reality, however, is that Israel is the main responsible for the blockade in Gaza, which has unleashed the first official famine in the region and is killing hundreds of people of starvation, according to official figures. Israel has designed a controversial plan with humanitarian aid distribution points by an opaque foundation that have ended up becoming points of “orchestrated murders”, with dozens of deaths in those already known as the killings of the hungry. The truth is that The UN has refused to participate in a strategy that does not meet any humanitarian principle and that “seems designed to reinforce control over survival objects as pressure tactic.” UN agencies have even described aid as a “bait.”

A recommendation

Today I recommend that you listen to the Last episode of the podcast Mehdi Unfiliedin which the journalist Mehdi Hassan makes a brutal interview with Danny Ayalon, former Israeli, former Foreign Expise Minister, former ambassador to the US and Netanyahu's ex -mast. It is in English, but if you have difficulties, Spotify includes transcription.

– How do you sleep at night knowing that your country, the government you support is responsible for the death of so many thousands of people? He asks in his first intervention.

– When we see these horrible images of Gaza, I can tell you that the Israelis think of one thing: on October 7.

I don't need to comment much more.
