The wave of criticism was unleashed as soon as the ticket prices were known.which range between €35 and €70 for subscribers, and above all fruit of the disappearance of age discountsa usual measure of the club on previous occasions. They have been the two main arguments put forward by the fans during the last few hours, to express their incomprehension and displeasure with the measures adopted.
Compared to previous ticket sales to receive Real Madrid, the increase is substantial. In the last two campaigns that the white club has visited Martínez Valero (2021/22 and 2022/23), the ticket prices have been practically identical. Between €15 and €40being the cheapest in the Fondo Ring G3 and G4 and the Animation Stand and the most expensive in the Grandstand, both in the Indoor and Outdoor areas.
This means that, compared to previous Elche-Real Madrid, The average disbursement of the Elche subscriber has increased by 90%percentage that rises above 130% in areas of the Ring and in the Animation Stand. It should be noted that all the prices mentioned belong to the Adult category and were considerably reduced with the Youth (between 15 and 20 years), Children (between 7 and 14 years) and Baby (between 0 and six years) passes, which have been discontinued for the occasion.
Opinions
After knowing the ticket prices – and the resulting widespread anger -, INFORMACIÓN has contacted several Elche fans to find out their opinion on the matter. The former president of the Federation of Peñas, Mario Payacomments that they seem “fair and normal prices for the Adult category, but excessive for Youth, Children and Baby. I'm a little disappointed with that. From the Federation, we always try to encourage families to go to football to generate that feeling of belonging. But this is a very high price for families.”

For his part, the member of the Grada Fondo Sur 1923, Ximo Morales, He says he “understands” the reason for the prices applied by Elche. “They must balance accounts because there is a budget.” However, it also ensures “don't share it”. “As a fan, I think that you cannot do a season ticket campaign in which a child takes his father to football and then do this. That unity that they speak with the motto of 'Grandparents to grandchildren' is not understood. I don't agree,” Ximo reaffirms forcefully.
Ticket sales open tomorrow and we are waiting to see if they can rectify
The current president of the Federation of Peñas, Antonio Brotonsqualifies the measure as “wrong”. “I consider it to be disproportionate. It will encourage many Green and Franji fans not to go to the stadium and for Real Madrid fans to do so. As a Federation, we have met with the club this morning and we have expressed our displeasure. Ticket sales open tomorrow and we are waiting to see if they can rectify it,” he adds.
“As a fan, I think that you cannot do a season ticket campaign in which a child takes his father to football and then do this”
He also expresses his feelings Hector Manresamember of the franjiverde club in the Youth category. “It seems like an exorbitant price to me, but I understand the club's position. If you compare the price of Elche's season tickets with that of the rest of the First Division teams… it must be compensated somewhere. Now, what I don't see well is that it is a single category. I don't understand that young people pay €70 when we are season ticket holders for going to just one game.. I understand that it discourages people from going,” he explains.
Complaints on networks
On social networks (through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), they are more than 1,000 franjiverdes fans who have expressed their displeasure fruit of the disbursement that will have to be made to watch the game next Sunday, November 23, at 9 p.m., at the Martínez Valero.
“You have gone too far with the subscribers…”, expresses Damián López through Instagram, in the comments to the publication of the prices. “What real madness”says Manu Montes. María García also makes her opinion clear, who comments: “Those prices for subscribers… very strong”in the Instagram comments.
There are also more understanding ones, who ask that they simply be notified of the important disbursement that will have to be made later when purchasing the season ticket: “Next time, you can get the more expensive season ticket with the two games (against Real Madrid and Barcelona) included.” “Tickets are very expensive for subscribers, a real outrage on this occasion. Humbly, I think you were wrong.“, Tatiana says via Twitter.

“Early this morning we met with the head of the Clubs to convey the widespread complaints from subscribers, club members and fans about the prices set for the next match.
The objective has been to sensitize the club about the impact of these fees, to make visible that they can reduce the presence of franjiverde fans and to seek a change in prices that favors the attendance of families and club members.
“We continue working to protect the green franji environment of Martínez Valero.”
