The president of AEW, Tony Khan, has signed several outstanding WWE names for AEW over the years. According to a wrestling veteran, Khan could take the same path again and sign a former women's SmackDown champion.

It was recently revealed that Carmella, who was maternity licensed since 2023, did not have his contract renewed by the headquarters in Stamford.

During the last episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantellwrestling veteran Dutch Mantell talked about Carmella's situation and mentioned that she didn't believe she was very happy.

“I hope he is happy, but I don't think he is being at home without doing anything. And he doesn't want to go looking for a job. I mean, that would be below her. But there are other wrestling companies out there,” he said. (From 47:35 onwards)

When the tablell coanfrerion argued who could pay Carmella's salary, the veteran was quick to highlight Tony Khan. Added:

“Hey, Tony Khan, man. Because he has the reputation of paying very well.”

After the viralization of the news of Carmella's departure from WWE, the superstar did not contain when speaking against the promotion. During an appearance in the podcast Barely Famousformer Ms. Money in the Bank revealed that she felt ignored by the company, expressing her discontent for how things ended.

In another interview with Kail Lowry, the 37 -year -old fighter revealed that the door for a return to the headquarters in Stamford at some point in the future was closed. She said:

“Why would you want to be in a place you don't love you?” He said when asked about a possible return. “It's like being in a relationship and someone is trying to end with you. 'No, don't leave me. I promise.' No, you are not loved in that relationship.

Carmella was with WWE from 2013 to 2025. During her time with the headquarters in Stamford, she won the 24/7 championship four times, the SmackDown Women's Championship once and the title in female pairs once. She was also the Women's Money In the Bank winner in 2017.
