The WWE content director, Triple H, and the member of the TKO Board of Directors, The Rock, are allegedly involved in a power fight behind the scene. The member of the WWE Hall of Fame, John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), recently addressed the subject, revealing whether he believes he is legitimate or part of a Storyline.
The absence of The Final Boss in Wrestlemania 41 unleashed rumors of disagreements with The Game. The former chief writer of WWE, Vince Russo, and former Row's former general manager Jonathan Coachman, suggested in The Coach & Bro Show That The Rock and Tko could be planning to dismiss Triple H of their position. Meanwhile, Russo pointed out what could be another track of the supposed conflict between the two executives, since The Final Boss did not mention the name of Triple H when he invited Dave Lagreca to attend creative meetings with him, Brian Gewirtz, Cody Rhodes and John Cena, in response to the complaint of the presenter of Busted Open for his absence in The Show of Shows.
Speaking in the podcast Something to WrestleJBL stressed that The Final Boss is already at the top of everything at this time, and does not believe that the 52 -year -old legend wants more:
“With The Rock, you have this movie with Martin Scorsese, then you return to exhausted football stadiums when you have the opportunity to return. That is a pretty good job. I don't know what else you want, I'm not saying that he wants it. I don't think he does. I mean, you can't get any more. You've reached the top. People say, 'Well, is that really everything you can get?' Yes, that is more or less everything you can get.
The WWE Hall of Fame Member revealed that he does not believe that there are plans to replace Triple H with The Rock's trusted man, Gewirtz. Meanwhile, he speculated that the supposed struggle of power is an angle:
“So, I don't see it. I mean, maybe it's as I say, maybe two alpha males crashing egos a little. But as for someone throwing shadows to the other, it looks like a very orchestrated angle,” he said. (1:00:08 – 1:00:58)
Member of the Hall of Fame praised the work of Triple H
In the same episode of Something to Wrestlethe member of the WWE Hall of Fame, JBL, said he initially thought that no one could fill Vince McMahon's shoes. However, it was impressed by the work of Triple H.
The wrestling legend praised The Game, adding that he could not imagine who could be more successful than him in his position:
“I don't know who in the world could do what he has done in WWE in recent years. I think business speak for themselves. That is, it is a matter of, well, we will judge you according to success. ' You can't be much more successful unless you exhaust four sands on one night, ”JBL added. (1:02:30 – 1:02:48)
Vince Russo recently said that Triple H punished Chelsea Green by making her lose the United States female title for possibly expressing her discontent for not being scheduled for Wrestlemania.
