A wrestling veteran approached a controversial segment that occurred in WWE RAW last Monday. He said he showed that a great superstar was legitimately punished.
Last week in RAW, Io Sky beat Rhea Ripley to win the World Women's Title after the eradicator was distracted by the number one contender, Bianca Belair. In the last episode of the red brand, Sky went to the ring for an interview with Michael Cole. The Est of WWE also joined the newly crowned champion in the quadrilateral before Ripley interrupted them. While the eradicator and Belair had a confrontation and an exchange of words, they both pushed Sky in the face when he tried to interfere. The latter responded slapping the two superstars before leaving the angry ring. In The Coach & Bro Showthe former main writer of the promotion, Vince Russo, reacted to the segment.
The wrestling veteran said that the segment proved that WWE, creatively led by the Triple H content director, was punishing Ripley for possibly having put himself on the wrong side of someone behind the scene or for opposing a creative idea:
“My reaction was, because it cannot be anything else, Coach, who bothered? What did he do? What did not like? Those two things. (53:25 – 54:05)

A WWE analyst thinks Rhea Ripley could miss Wrestlemania 41
Rhea Ripley's path to Wrestlemania 41 seemed to be to defend the World Women's Championship against Bianca Belair. However, the eradicator now does not have a clear path to the show show this year after losing the title against Iyo Sky.
Speaking in RAW RecapWWE analyst Sam Roberts said he can't see a path for Ripley towards the WWE big show. He said that interrupting promos will not take the former women's world champion to the fight for the title between Sky and Belair.
“I mean, I know, for me, I am sure that Rhea Ripley would like to be considered for Wrestlemania's fight, but I don't see what the way is, and I certainly do not think she is interrupting promos, but maybe I'm wrong,” Roberts said.
It will be interesting to what plans the company has for Rhea Ripley for the greatest stage of all in April that some have speculated from the reason behind the WWE decision that Rhea Ripley loses the championship a few weeks ago.
