President Donald Trump has given Hamas's response good and has ordered Israel that “he must stop bombing Gaza immediately, in order to take the hostages safely and quickly.” The president has announced it in a publication in Truth Social this Friday afternoon. “We continue to discuss the details for this to work. This is not only on Gaza, it is about a long peace in the Middle East.”
Trump's reaction comes after Hamas has responded to the peace plan designed by Washington and Tel Aviv. In his answer, the armed group said that he would release all Israeli hostages, as stipulated in the agreement, and that he opens to negotiate the rest of the points. In this way, the Islamist band claimed a place at the negotiating table against the attempt by Trump and Netanyahu to impose a pact where he had left out.
In the statement delivered to the mediators, the Palestinian Group thanked the efforts of the Arab and even US partners. “The movement announces that it accepts to free all the prisoners, both living and dead, according to the formula contained in Trump's proposal.” However, he clarified that liberation will depend on the conditions on the field in Gaza.
“In this context, the movement affirms its willingness to enter immediately in negotiations through the mediators to discuss the details of this,” adds the text spread in its networks and that Trump has also published in a post in Truth Social.
Hamas also accepted “to deliver the administration of Gaza to a Palestinian organ of independent (technocrats), based on the Palestinian national consensus and with Arab and Islamic support.” In the Washington Plan, a transition government, the “Peace Board”, will be led by various members and heads of states, among which is former Prime Minister Tony Blair, although who would be in command of the institution would be Trump himself.
A few hours before the Hamas statement, on Friday morning Trump had threatened to “unleash a hell” on Gaza if Hamas did not respond before Sunday at midnight (18:00 hours from Washington). During the whole with Netanyahu of the Peace Plan, the US president already said that the US would “fully support” Israel to “finish the work” in the strip if Hamas did not accept.
