“I deserve the Nobel Peace, but they will never give it to me. It's a shame.” This said Donald Trump in the Oval Office on February 4. That day he received the first foreign guest, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamín Netanyahu. And before him and the cameras around the world he claimed himself as the most pacifist while defending Gaza into a resort, a riviera in the Middle East with the gazaties expelled to neighboring countries.
Trump is able to look at the mirror and look like a pacifist after verbalizing such things.
Since January 20, the figures of victims have multiplied by Israeli genocide in Gaza, with about 56,000 dead. The strip is being devastated, flattened, as a real estate promoter like Trump would like to build on the large buildings, as he did in Manhattan in the 80s, with bribes to the municipal officials in between.
This week he started with the G7 summit in Canada, from which he ran away before time for the crisis in the Middle East, which arrived four days after an attack by Israel against Iran that came to put an end in the way of the events to the negotiations that the US authorities maintained with the Iranians to bury the Tehran nuclear program.
On several occasions, the US president said the agreement was close, he even acknowledged that he had asked Netanyahu to preserve the dialogue. And on his first tour of the region he visited Arab countries and avoided stepping on Israeli soil.
But, in the end, the link between the US and Israel, between Netanyahu and Trump, is above all things, and US weapons, “the best in the world”, as the president of the United States likes to say, they end up feeding the eternal war of the Middle East.
To such an extent that, as I said at Eldiario.es Ignacio Ávarez Osorio this Friday, the US president has endorsed the demands of the Israeli prime minister and has made his military achievements themselves: “We have complete control of the heavens in Iran” and “everyone must immediately evacuate Tehran.” Not surprisingly, he is the first president who, according to Netanyahu, is really being a collaborator with his demands.
“I have been warning the United States about Iran at least 40 years,” said Netanyahu this Tuesday at Channel 14. “I said it shortly after the establishment of the Ayatolás regime (in 1979), which represents the greatest threat against the state of Israel. At that time, they laughed. In 2011-2012, when I returned as a prime minister, I tried nor among my allies, ”added Netanyahu, in reference to former president Barack Obama, who far from supporting his warmthicist plans against Iran promoted a nuclear agreement (JCPOA) who was sealed in 2015 by the US, United Kingdom, France, Russia, China and Germany. Trump left him in 2018, during his first term.
“I would give Iran the opportunity to reach an agreement,” said USA in his social networks, in relation to negotiations on the dismantling of the Iranian nuclear program: “I told it, in the most forceful way, 'do it.' use them ”.
This is happening these days not only in Gaza, but also in Iran, where the US president has passed in a matter of days of defender of diplomacy to threaten to kill the supreme leader, Ali Jamenei; to present himself as a negotiator, to demand an “unconditional surrender”; To claim as a “peace maker”, to consider sending its B-2 with 13.6 tons bombs to burst the Fordo nuclear plant, without knowing well if that can happen-it depends on the depth to which it is found-and the consequences it may have based on what material is in the place.
“We know exactly where the so -called supreme leader hides,” Trump said: “It is an easy target, but there is safe. We are not going to eliminate it (kill him!), At least for now. But we do not want missiles against civilians or American soldiers to be launched. Our patience is running out.”
This Thursday, the White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, said that Trump took two weeks to make a decision to launch a direct attack on Iran, although the US has never ceased to be part of any Israeli attack, and not only because of the weapons that Tel Aviv uses, but because of her active participation, demolishing missiles fired against Israel.
“I have a message from the president: since there is the possibility of substantial negotiations with Iran in the near future, I will make a decision on whether or not to go in the next two weeks,” Leavitt said.
“The problem for Trump is to face a double problem,” POLITIOMLY ROGER SINERRICH affirms: “The war itself, the dilemma between intervening or not, and if it must sign up for the Bibi car or try to stop him. Within the United States, he has a divided party between traditional Republicans, more interventionist, and the Maga sector that was believed by Trump's non -interventionism and is completely contrary to getting involved in the conflict.”
“Two weeks” … after “two weeks”
Two weeks is the unit of temporary measure that Trump throws when he doesn't know what to say. It has been giving Vladimir Putin two weeks for months, and the situation in Ukraine is still fallen, which means, as he says, that thousands of people die every week without the policy of approach of the president of the US to the Kremlin being submitting any effect on the way to peace.
Practically, every day, Trump guilt of the war from Ukraine to Joe Biden – without mentioning that the invasion was ordered by Putin on February 24, 2022 -, and argues that he would never have occurred with him in the White House. Moreover, this Monday, at the G7 summit, he placed a new guilt in the exclusion of Russia of the select club after the invasion of Crimea, in another sign of tune with the Russian president.
“Maybe it's too late, but it was a big mistake,” Trump said: “It was a big mistake. We would not have had that war. Actually, he was not an enemy at that time. And if I had been president, this war would never have happened. In the same way, if he were a member of what was called the G8, now there would be no war.”
Another medal that often puts Trump is the cessation of hostilities, momentary, between India and Pakistan, a conflict that has been open decades, which exploded again a few months ago and that, for the moment, has been appeased by the way of tariff pressure, according to Trump. “But nobody recognizes it to me,” laments the US president.
“Iran and Israel should reach an agreement, and they will reach an agreement, just as I managed to do it India and Pakistan (…) Soon there will be peace between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings are taking place now,” he wrote last Sunday in his network Truth Social
Less than a week after that, the current situation seems much further from that peace that Trump announced.
Meanwhile, the US president has an open verbal war against the governor of California, Minnesota, Democratic cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago or New York, the trans community, universities, law firms …
Trump presents himself as a pacifist to the world, as a firefighter, but crises do not stop inflaming while because he does not stop enviving fires, which pyromaniance, as he can do if in the end he participates in direct attacks against Iran.
