President Donald Trump reported on Saturday that the United States attacked three nuclear facilities in Iran.
“We have completed with great success our attack against three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz and Esfahan. All airplanes are now outside the Iranian airspace,” he wrote on the social network Truth Social.
Trump added that “a complete bomb load” on Fordo was launched and that all airplanes were back to the United States.
Reuters news agency said Bomarderos B-2 were involved in US attacks against Iran, according to a White House official.
From the beginning of the attacks between Iran and Israel on June 13, the question of whether would intervene or stay on the sidelines was on the table.
This Saturday's attack comes just two days after the US president said he would make that decision “within two weeks.”
According to the correspondent for North America of the BBC, Nomia IQBAL, the US participation in this conflict generates concern about a possible climb of tension in the Middle East and because it was a type of intervention against which Trump had campaigned for a long time.
Trump announced that he will go to La Nación at 22:00 local time.
“This is a historical moment for the United States, Israel and the world,” wrote the president in Truth Social, adding that “Iran must now accept ending this war.”

One of the objectives of the attack was Fordo, a Uranium enrichment plant underground, located about 96 km south of the capital, Tehran.
It is believed that Fordo consists of two main tunnels that house centrifugers that are used to enrich uranium, as well as a network of smaller tunnels.
Before this Saturday's attack, Israel had asked Washington to intervene, since the United States is the only country with military capacity to attack the installation.
The B-2 bomber is the only plane capable of carrying a type of pump that can penetrate the concrete layer that protects the fordo installation.
