
UEFA has announced the launch of A new initiative, supported by the European Association of Clubs, European Leagues and Fifpro Europedestined to better define the concept of “load” in the male and female football of European elite, as well as to understand its impact.
The study will adopt a scientific, solid and data -based approach in two main phases, guaranteeing the highest precision and reliability standards. The initial phase will aim to define the meaning of the term “load” for interested partiesincluding clubs, players, coaches, medical staff and other relevant groups identified by a panel of independent experts, in order to better evaluate the associated factors, such as different types of injuries, performance levels and player well -being.
Next, A detailed analysis of historical data will be carried out, evaluating regulatory and calendar changesas well as technical and performance trends over time. The impact that these changes and trends have had on the injuries, performance and well -being of the players will be considered.
The collaborative effort will be based on the contributions of independent experts leaders in relevant fields, which will guarantee a comprehensive, holistic and multidisciplinary approach. Scientific articles reviewed by pairs and practical recommendations will be elaborated that will guide those responsible for decision -making in competition areas and in the development of policies that mitigate the influence of the different aspects of the burden.
This UEFA initiative constitutes a central component, together with the specific commitment through other platforms, of the Joint UEFA commitment, the European Club Association, the European Leagues and FIFPRO Europe To safeguard the game and the well -being of the players.
