During a recent episode of Legion of RAWVince Russo launched a strong criticism of The Judgment Day and The New Day, stating that they could not handle live public in Wwe Raw, comparing them with a Stand-UP comedian.
“Brother, do you know what that looks like? Is really like a stand-up comedian, and someone begins to make fun of him, and the comedian allows the person to interrupt him and stay there without saying anything. That is what is equivalent. Yes, absolutely the exact equivalent of that.” (From 12:25 onwards)
Before in the podcast, Russo said the creative team wasted a great opportunity with WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden.
“When I started watching the WWWF once a month, every Monday night it was a live show from Madison Square Garden. Once a month, Monday nights, (the billboard was) full, full. Every fight, every month, it was a main event full,” he said. “So, when I am seeing this, that is what I am thinking. And that is what I am remembering. Those first shows that attracted me to the damn wrestling in the Garden with Howard Finkel in the center of the ring. And the microphone went down and just before the stellar event, Finkel gave you the billboard next month in the Garden, from top to bottom, shows full of stars.
