The second vice president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, is convinced that the law for the reduction of the working day at 37.5 hours will be a reality in Spain. This has been recognized this Friday in a national radio interview: “We are going to reduce the working day because the causes that are socially gained socially end up winning.”
Next Wednesday the Congress will vote the amendments to the totality presented by PP, Vox and Juns to the norm of the Ministry of Labor. It is the first parliamentary procedure of the measure and today does not have the guaranteed support because those of Carles Puigdemont maintain their return proposal to a norm against which they have shown their total rejection from the beginning.
But in work they maintained this week the optimism about the negotiations that trust to prolong if it is necessary until next Wednesday. The vice president also tries in recent days to transfer the responsibility of a possible defeat to the formations that reject the text.
“We are going to reduce safe workday because the causes that are won socially always end up winning. If there is a measure that people want is this, it is a measure that has to do with public health, emotional well -being, climate change,” he said in an interview this Friday.
Díaz has defended that they will negotiate until the end. “We are going to work until next Wednesday. Let's see how the political part behaves with a measure that is socially won,” he insisted. In work they usually cite the surveys published in recent months that show a great social acceptance of the measure, even among the electorate more shown to the right. And that's why they believe that forces that lay down a project can be paid electorally.
The Minister of Labor has also acknowledged that the main pegas that has put together on the text are related to the small and the medium -sized company and that they are working in this direction in the negotiations.
“They will remember that when we started the negotiation I launched one that was launched to accompany the companies or self -employed. An autonomous that has a small business, a cafeteria or whatever, if it is working forty hours today, to save that gap (difference of hours until it reaches 37.5), it needs help. It does not go from sizes. There was talk of the hairdressers. In 40 they will have to make a greater effort and that is why we propose direct aid to productivity, ”he explained in public radio microphones.
