At least 81 Palestinians died and more than 400 were injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza in 24 hours after noon on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Health, led by Hamas.
In an incident, at least 11 people, including children, died after an attack near a stadium in the city of Gaza, according to the personal news agencies of the Al-Shifa hospital and witnesses.
The stadium was used to house displaced people, who lived in tents.
Images verified by the BBC show people digging in the sand with their own hands and with blades to find corpses.
The Israeli army declared that “he had no knowledge of injured as a result of the attack”, apart from “a suspicious individual who supposed a threat” for his forces.
For his part, the US president, Donald Trump, was hopeful that the fire can be agreed next week.
Qatari mediators are confident that US pressure allows an agreement to be reached, after the truce between Israel and Iran that ended 12 days of conflict between the two countries.
In March, a high two -month fire collapsed when Israel launched new attacks against Gaza. The agreement, which began on January 19, was scheduled in three phases, but did not exceed the first.
The second phase contemplated the establishment of a high permanent fire, the return of the living hostages that were left in Gaza in exchange for the Palestinians imprisoned in Israel and the total withdrawal of the Israeli forces of Gaza.

On Thursday, a high position of Hamas declared to the BBC that the mediators had intensified their efforts to reach a new agreement of high fire and release of hostages in Gaza, but that negotiations with Israel were still stagnant.
On Saturday afternoon a concentration was organized in Tel Aviv to request an agreement that allows the Israeli hostages to be released that Hamas keeps retained in Gaza. The organizers said that “the time has come to end the fighting and bring everyone home in a single phase.”
Meanwhile, Israeli attacks continue in Gaza.
A witness of the stadium attack said they were sitting when “suddenly they heard a huge explosion” after the impact on a road.
“This area was full of tents; now the stores are under the sand. We spend hours digging with our own hands,” Ahmed Qishawi told the Reuters news agency.
He said that “there are no people in search and capture, or terrorists like them (the Israelis) claim … there are only civilians, children, who were attacked without mercy.”
Civilians and children
Another 14 people, some of them children, died in attacks against an apartment block and a tent in the Al-Mawasi area.
The offensive killed three children and their parents, who died while they slept, relatives told Associated Press.
“What have these children have done to them? What are the fault?” The grandmother of the minors, Suad Abu Teima, told the news agency.
On Saturday afternoon, the death of more people was reported after an air attack against the Tuffah neighborhood, near the Jaffa school, where hundreds of displaced gazaties took refuge.
The attack killed at least eight people, including five children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

A witness, Mohammed Haboub, told Reuters about the death of his nephews, his father and the children of his neighbors.
“We did not do anything to them, why do we hurt us? Have we hurt them? We are civil,” he told the news agency.
The Ministry of Health said that ambulance and civil protection teams had difficulty reaching several victims trapped under debris and roads, due to the impossibility of circulating through some of the affected areas.
Asked about the attack against the Taffah neighborhood, the Israel Defense Forces (FDI) told the BBC that “they reached a suspicious individual that supposed a threat to the FDI troops operating in the north of the Gaza Strip.”
“Before the attack, numerous measures were taken to mitigate the risk of damaging civilians,” they said, and added that “they were not aware that they had injured as a result of the attack.”
The FDI issued a statement on Saturday night in which they claimed to have killed on Friday in the Sabra area, in the city of Gaza, Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-ISSA, a high position of the Military Wing of Hamas.
They also pointed out that he was one of the founding members of the group, a member of his General Security Council, and who played a “significant role in the planning and execution” of the attack against Israel of October 7, 2023.
The Israeli army began its bombing in Gaza in response to that attack, in which some 1,200 people died and another 251 were taken as hostages.
More than 56,000 people have died in Gaza since then, according to the Ministry of Health of the Territory, directed by Hamas.
