Cody Rhodes was not willing to let Jey use abandon Saturday Night's Main Event With the head down.
After the program ended, Rhodes went up to the ring to comfort his friend, who had lost his fight for the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther. The “Yeet Man” fights, but two consecutive PowerBombs sealed the treatment for the ring general, leaving use without the title once again.
With the cameras off and Gunther behind the stage, Rhodes took the microphone and made it clear that Jey's moment will arrive.
“Michael Cole has just said, you all know it, you have just seen that fight. He said that Jey's time will come. I know he doesn't feel good, Jey, I have gone through that. But you are a champion for me, you are a champion for everyone here, we applaud my friend Jey use.”
The two shared a sincere hug before Rhodes focused their attention on Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, who was sitting among the public. Rhodes invited the comedian to get on the ring and the three played for the public and sent him home happy.
Earlier at night, Rhodes dealt with his affairs by signing the contract For his WWE Championship Ladder Match against Kevin Owens in the Royal Rumble. The segment ended in chaos when moderator Shawn Michaels decided to get involved, launching a chin music sweet before everything ended.
With Rhodes winning impulse towards his great confrontation in Royal Rumble and Jey use demonstrating that he is still in the contest for the title, the WWE path to Wrestlemania is heating.
