Montez Ford has everything you need to become an emerging star: charisma, ring skill and an undeniable connection with fans. However, despite his talent, the great Street Profits fighter has not made the leap to the WWE, which makes many wonder what stops him.

In a recent interview with The Daily Star Ford revealed his growing frustrations with his current position in WWE. From constant confrontations with Bloodline until it was short in the fight for the championship in pairs, Ford hinted that he could be approaching a breakdown. “There has to be another change. There has to be,” Ford admitted, suggesting that it could be the time for a change of direction.

Ford has been on the front line of some of the most important stories of WWE, fighting Bloodline during the last four years with Angelo Dawkins and, occasionally, Kevin Owens. However, after so many lost opportunities, Ford seems to be questioning how much more time he can continue on the same path.

“I feel that my confidence is at its highest point,” He said, but even that trust is being tested. “They saw what happened to Kevin Owens: he is frustrated. I feel that I am about to become the same.”

According to Dave Meltzer in Wrestling Observer Radio the real reason behind the delay in Ford's individual impulse does not lies in Ford's skills but in concerns about the future of his teammate, Angelo Dawkins. Meltzer explained that WWE has had plans for a long time for Ford to become an individual star, but the company has doubted.

Although Dawkins has shown a significant improvement in the ring and the microphone, it is informed, the WWE is concerned that dividing the Street Profits can leave it without a significant direction. Ford, aware of this possible consequence, seems reluctant to make the leap, although many believe that he is ready to become an important individual competitor.

“For a long time, there has been a pressure from the people who think that Montez Ford should be an individual star, but he has resisted because most people think that if they become a lonely star, Dawkins, who has improved a lot and is very good, will probably fall into oblivion. I don't know if they are going to do it now, but there has also been talk of that.”

While Ford hinted at the need for a change, many fans wonder if that change will come in the way Ford finally decides to fight alone. But with the persistent concern about the future of Dawkins, it is not clear when the WWE will approve Ford's long -awaited career.
