The main event of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event 2024 ended in a shocking way after Kevin Owens brutally attacked Cody Rhodes after the main show event. Despite not winning the title, a visibly enraged KO stole WWE's title and left the sand.
The tensions between Owens and Cody had been increasing in recent weeks, promising a hot confrontation when they both climbed into the ring. It is sure to say that the two fighters fulfilled a great fight. The result was never in doubt, since Cody Rhodes held his indisputable title of WWE.
However, what surprised everyone was how things developed after combat. Kevin Owens was far from being satisfied after losing and unleashed a brutal attack against Cody. Owens applied a Piledriver package to The American Nightmare, the same forbidden movement that left Randy Orton out of action a few weeks ago.
He then proceeded to steal the Rhodes title and later had a triple H confrontation near the entrance zone. During the show, Triple H had given Rhodes the version of the Winged Eagle title as a gift. WWE has now published Ko's video moving away with the title Winged Eagle and wrote a overwhelming message by condemning his actions.
“This has come too far … something has to happen here. You can't keep doing this! #SNME.”
It remains if WWE will sanction Kevin Owens for his atrocious actions in Saturday Night's Main Event.
