Never say when it comes to WWE. However, it seems that a possible return is not in the letters for a wrestling legend.
The current AEW star and a half of the world champions in Roh's couples, Dustin Rhodes, explained why he is not interested in returning to the headquarters in Stamford in the near future.
The Natural had several stays with WWE over the years, with its last race ending in 2019. The 55 -year -old legend has set aside its Goldust Gimmick and has continued adding more achievements towards a career worthy of the Hall of Fame, now competing in All Elite Wrestling.
Dustin responded to the fan saying that he did everything he could as Goldust. He said his former Gimmick is retired and is happy in AEW.
“No. Why? Goldust did everything you can imagine. Happy to have had the character and have taken it to places that some only dream. Goldust is retired. 1000% happier than I have ever been, here in @AEW,” Dustin wrote.
Dustin Rhodes explains why he doesn't want to face Cody Rhodes in WWE
For years, Dustin Rhodes wanted to face Cody Rhodes in a brother fight against Brother in Wrestlemania. However, for some reason, Vince McMahon was not convinced of the idea.
The two brothers finally faced an explosive fight in Double Or Nothing in 2019, which The American Nightmare won.
When speaking in the podcast Busted OpenDustin Rhodes explained why he didn't want to repeat with Cody Rhodes. He said he didn't want to replicate the success they have had in his last fight.
“Many people have asked me that, and not necessarily, man. I have done so many things with Cody already. We had our very good fight together. I can't and I wouldn't try to duplicate that or even try to improve it. I don't want to mess with that at all. And Cody has advanced and has surpassed me in this business, and is doing a fantastic job,” he said.
The window is closing for the race in the ring of Dustin Rhodes. Will it return to the headquarters in Stamford in the near future and take its legitimate place in the Hall of Fame? Only time will say it.
