The newly crowned NXT champion, Trick Williams, began the show with a promo in the ring where he said he understood that there were sharks in the costumes, but that will not change for him.
Wes Lee interrupted from the public area and said he had his eye on becoming a triple crown champion before promising to leave Williams in dust as Carmelo Hayes did; However, things took a strange turn when the intercontinental champion of the WWE Jey use interrupted. Jey and Williams presumed their praise.

Vaquer and Giulia knocked Jade and Pérez.
Tony D'Angelo defeats Oba Femi and is the new American champion.
Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) retain couples championships against A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory).
Randy Orton defeats Je'von Evans via Rko. Orton then helps Evans stand up after the fight and Orton raises Evans's hand.
Wes Lee and Ethan Page are in Ava's office, where she announces a fight for the number one contender between Lee and Page. Ava was also impressed with Evans in the star event, and adds Evans to turn the fight into a triple threat from the number one contender. That is scheduled for next Tuesday at NXT.
