The fight of Royal Rumble this year could be as exciting as never before, with many WWE megastters ready to participate. Although it is a difficult fight to predict, Freddie Prinze Jr. felt that CM Punk would be victorious in the rumble, and could do it as the participant #1.
Roman Reigns, John Cena, CM Punk, and 12 other participants in the male Rumble Rumble have already been announced. The remaining places could be filled by surprise participants and current roster members.
WWE has built a handful of stars as clear favorites, and CM Punk, due to his veteran status, is in the coveted list. The saint of the second city recently made a promo on his goals of winning the Royal Rumble and how he would even eliminate Hulk Hogan if necessary.
Based on weekly construction and punk momentum, Freddie Prinze Jr. predicted that the former world champion would win the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career. Prinze Jr. pointed out that CM Punk is not allowed to break the promises made on TV.
The veteran felt that now that Punk has sworn to win the Royal Rumble, nothing can stop it, even if the long confrontation begins.
“CM Punk made a promise on TV and I suppose that it is not allowed to break promises because every time he does, he wins. So, I have to choose CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble. It will probably come out as the participant #1 and will beat everyone!” (From 15:30)
Freddie Prinze Jr. chooses the winner of a fight for the title in Rumble 2025 of WWE
The current alignment for Royal Rumble presents four fights, one of them being for the WWE couples championship between DIY and Motor City Machine Guns.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa will enter the show as champions, and Freddie Prinze Jr. felt that they would retain gold against Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.
The former member of the WWE creative team said he was not excited for couples combat since the company had not done enough since the creative front. However, he chose DIY to win only due to his superiority in the microphone.
“The WWE couples championship, I do not have much passion for this fight. It has not been built in a way that compromises me but I will make my choice. Motor City Machine Guns vs Diy, I am choosing the champions to retain because they are better in the microphone, that is my thinking process. They are better in the microphone than the other boys.” (From 18:25)
Royal Rumble's combat letter may seem brief but has the potential to generate some memorable moments, given the star power involved only in the male struggle.
