Owens Triple HOwens Triple H

WWE did everything possible so that the event “Saturday Night's Main Event” had a nostalgic atmosphere. The entrance was narrow, as in the first days of the program, forcing the security to accompany the stars to the ring.

The referees wore the traditional blue shirts with bun ties and large headphones. However, most of the fighting seemed an overflow of a RAW episode. Drew McIntyre defeated Sami Zayn cleanly to open the night.

Chelsea Green made history by becoming the first women's women's champion. Some angles outside the air followed the program, such as Triple H face Kevin Owens.

They would have been better in the main transmission of “Saturday Night's Main Event.” Although some angles advanced, like Finn Bálor losing after trying their fate, others were left without impact. Here is the best and the worst of the “Saturday Night's Main Event” by WWE.

#3. Worse – Michael Cole's “impartial journalism” damages the initial fight

Michael Cole claims to be an impartial journalist/commentator, but it is not. He criticizes anyone who has a problem with Roman Reigns or their actions during the last four years.

His overwhelming bias became evident during the fight between McIntyre and Zayn to open the “Saturday Night's Main Event.” Cole tried to blame only Sikoa instead of A Reigns. He forgot that Sikoa debuted by interfering by order of Roman.

The fight was not spectacular, and it was interesting to listen to Cole to follow the role of admirer of the original tribal chief in the event.

He later said that a villain, Liv Morgan, was in the race for the superstar of the year. Pat Mcafee then questioned why ella I would be in that conversation due to the “damage” that has caused this year. Maybe it is selectively impartial.

#2. Better – Jesse “The Body” Ventura returns after almost 15 years

Jesse “The Body” Ventura's participation in “Saturday Night's Main Event” was announced above. His return to WWE occurred after a 15 -year -old pause. It was refreshing to have a classic villain analyst that counteracted current commentators.

He questioned whether Cody Rhodes was the son of Dusty Rhodes due to his abs. He also praised Liv Morgan for fighting with his nose broken, stating that Dirty Dom knows how to choose women.

It was refreshing to have a true villain commentator instead of someone who repeats what the officers tell them to say. Ventura even agreed that Cody betrayed Kevin Owens a little by forming a team with random Roman Reigns.

He said that the superstars must be loyal to their friends, which led Cole to call Ventura for being partial. It was a true case of “the comal saying to the pot.”

#2. Worse – without surprises or returns on a rather predictable night

A key element that can improve a live premium event or an episode of RAW or SmackDown is to have a great surprise or a massive return to the ring. Charlotte Flair or CM Punk could have appeared at any time.

Becky Lynch may have appeared to inform the fans who were back. There was no interference in any of the fighting where it would have been logical. Raquel Rodríguez and Dominik Mysterio always help Liv Morgan.

The Judgment Day did nothing during the triple threat combat for the world heavyweight title. After zero surprises in Survivor Series and only McIntyre's return in the next RAW, a big surprise could have improved the “Saturday Night's Main Event.”

#1. Better – Chelsea Green makes history

In the early stages of the fight for the United States Women's Championship, Cole did a good job reviewing the story between Green and Michin. Both stood out in TNA and won the Knockouts championship.

He also reminded fans that Michin competed in the first two tournaments Mae Young Classic. The two have good chemistry, which helped the flow of combat rather than in other recent struggles.

He even executed one of the most innovative versions of his auction, turning from the upper rope on Michin to connect the Unaprettier. Green is one of WWE's most selfless performers.

It is easy to do what is necessary to sell a moment or highlight someone else. It was great to see her rewarded for her arduous work and attention to detail, such as stretching her long legs to the strings to break a count. Fans certainly approved their victory.
