A WWE superstar lost an important fight for the title today and extended its unfortunate streak. The star in question has not been able to win a wrestling fight in several months.
The NXT star, Sol Ruca, faced Katana Chance in a tournament fight at WWE Speed to determine the number one contender for the Candice Lerae title. Sol Ruca won the victory for counting to advance to the semifinals of the tournament, approaching one more step to an opportunity for the WWE Women's Speed Championship.
Katana Chance has been fighting lately and has not won a fight since last year. The last victory of the veteran was against Alba Fyre in November 2024 at WWE Speed.
Chance had a stage in the main roster where he was very successful. He formed a team with Kayden Carter, and the duo captured the women's championships in pairs. However, Chance has not fought at RAW since his defeat in the tournament for the Women's Intercontinental Championship in December 2024.
Katana Chance comments on her career in WWE
Katana Chance recently reflected on her career in the company and commented on being in a team with Kayden Carter.
Talking to Denise Salcedo at the premiere of RAW in Netflix, Chance discussed his time in the company. He noticed that she and Carter had grown a lot during their careers and were improving every time they went up to the ring:
“I feel that every trip and challenge we have faced changes us, and I feel that from Nxt to Raw, we have grown so much, and I feel that people have followed us on our trips. We have had many ups and downs, and I feel that every time, we are finding ourselves more to us, finding the flow and simply surfing the waves,” he said.
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter were transferred to SmackDown earlier this year. However, the duo has not competed in a fight in the blue brand since they changed brands. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Chance after his defeat against Sol Ruca.
