The former WWE main writer, Vince Russo, recently spoke about the appearance of JBL in Monday Night Raw. The legendary fighter was behind the stage during this week's show.

JBL appeared in a segment after scholars with The New Day this week at RAW. The veteran criticized Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for getting Big e from the group. Then he joined the comment team to narrate King Mysterio's fight against Kingston.

In the program Legion of RAWVince Russo said it was great that the former WWE champion was being paid for his appearances in different wrestling promotions. However, he said that the time on television was very valuable and that the global company should reserve it for emerging stars.

Russo said JBL was not a great star like John Cena or The Rock, and that his presence in the program would not help the current talent.

“Brother, listen, if JBL is earning money, well for him. Go to work for all wrestling organizations you can and earn money. I don't know what that contributes to wrestling organizations,” Russo continued. “Now, when it comes to The Rock, Dinner or Taker (The Undertaker), it's different. I don't think JBL is on that list, I really don't think so. I don't know if I would sacrifice young talents to give JBL a place.” (From the 19:35 minute onwards)

JBL has been a man busy in recent months. Before his appearance at RAW, the veteran also appeared in the Genesis event of TNA Wrestling. The former WWE champion applied a loop to Frankie Kazarian after the latter tried to intervene in Dolph Ziggler's fight (Nic Nemeth) against Joe Hendry.
