Eberechi Eze and Michelle Agyemang have both been recognised at the 2025 Football Black List Awards.
Celebrating black excellence in sport, this year’s event took place at the QEII Centre in Westminster on Tuesday evening.
Ebere has been recognised and celebrated for his work with the Eze Foundation, which aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, providing young people with the support, connections, and real-world experience they need to thrive in their careers.
He said: “It’s a massive blessing. I’m grateful to be recognised, grateful to be in a position where we can try to inspire, try to work with people and connect people throughout the world that we’re in.
“I’m grateful to my family for the support that they put in because it wouldn’t be easy if it was just me. It’s a massive honour.”
Sports journalist Rodney Hines, who is a founding member of the Black List, added: “I’m too excited! I think your work has been recognised by quite a few people in recent times. It’s a real privilege to be in this space with you and all I can say is continue to do what you do off the field and on the field.”
Michelle is the recipient of the Cyrille Regis Award following her incredible performances at the 2025 Women’s European Championship, where England defended their title with our young forward scoring some crucial goals, resulting in her winning the Young Player of the Tournament award.
