Eberechi Eze’s incredible strike against Newcastle United has been nominated for April’s Premier League Goal of the Month award.
A well-worked corner routine found its way to our number 10 on the edge of the box, and he curled his fine effort into the corner beyond Nick Pope to give us all three points against the Magpies.
It was his 10th goal of the season and helped us move three points clear at the top of the table.
Our attacker is joined by seven others on the shortlist for the award. These include tenager Rio Ngumoha’s curling effort against Fulham, James Justin’s overhead kick against Wolves and Kaoru Mitoma’s volley against Tottenham.
The list is finished off by Rayan Cherki’s goal against us, Andy Robertson’s strike against Crystal Palace, Xavi Simons’ effort versus Brighton and Mathias Jensen’s long-range effort at Manchester United
