Alessia Russo recently joined an exclusive club of Gunners to score 50 times in the famous red and white with her double in the second leg of our UEFA Women’s Champions League tie against OH Leuven.

Our no.23 opened the scoring on the night with her 49th goal for the club, before wrapping up the 7-1 aggregate win with her 50th. Alessia’s latest brace came two-and-a-half years after her first two Arsenal goals, scored against Paris FC in Champions League qualifying in September 2023.

The England international has scored many memorable goals for us, including her first WSL goal for the club, a 94th-minute winner against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium in October 2023.

Another strike against the Villains was among her greatest as a Gunner so far, as Alessia struck from a seemingly impossible angle at Emirates Stadium, winning our Goal of the Month award for December 2024.

But the goals which stand out most among our forward’s impressive collection are those scored when we need them most.

Already in less than three years as a Gunner, Alessia has scored the only goal in a north London derby win, struck a decisive late equaliser to earn a point against Chelsea and scored two of three goals as we reversed a 2-0 deficit against Real Madrid on our way to winning the Champions League.
