Triple H TruthTriple H Truth

Triple H received online criticism after discussing R-Truth's return to WWE at the press conference after Money in the Bank. In reaction to the controversy, the member of the WWE Hall of Fame, John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL), explained why he had no problems with The Game's response.

Truth, whose real name is Ron Killings, announced on June 1 that he had been fired by WWE. Six days later, he appeared surprisingly in Money in the Bank to help Cody Rhodes and Jey use to defeat John Cena and Logan Paul. Triple H said after the event that the return was “all part of the show,” insinuating that Truth's departure could have been scripted, this despite the fact that Truth said otherwise.

In the podcast Something to WrestleJBL applauded WWE content director for keeping fans in uncertainty:

“When Hunter (Triple H) says this, I am a big fan of this. I am a big fan of saying, 'Hey, everything was part of the show.' I say, 'great.' You don't know if it was or not. (5:21 – 5:36)

Many fans disapproved of triple H after it was widely reported that WWE's Truth output was real. The son of the two -time United States champion, Christopher Killings, also negatively reacted to the comment.

JBL on press conferences after the triple H wwe show

Since 2022, Triple H and some selected WWE stars have answered media questions after live premium events. While some people remain in character during press conferences, others share real life thoughts about their careers and storylines.

After witnessing the consequences of the Money in the Bank press conference, JBL does not believe that the concept benefits anyone involved:

“I think those press conferences are horrible. I hate them because there is no way to win with those things. You want to stay in a character or not stay in character. It is difficult to do both. It is difficult to work and also speak sincerely in those things. I do not understand the press conferences.” (3:55 – 4:10)

The events after the show have also been used to advance in the storylines. On May 10, John Cena put R-Truth through a table in backlash to prepare a fight at Saturday Night's Main Event.
