“It was so special,” she said afterwards. “These nights are amazing here at the Emirates, but we know it’s only half-time, but the girls were amazing tonight. Clinical, riding the storm when we needed to, and yes, a proper display.

The victory made it ten wins in a row in all competitions, so it’s no surprise to hear that the mood is buzzing in the dressing room.

“I think it’s important that we build energy, we build momentum and we keep striving for more,” Kelly added. “This weekend will be important, three points that we need to get. So, yes, our focus changes to the weekend at Spurs.”

Kelly and the team will now be looking to put more smiles on supporters’ faces in the north London derby, after members of our fanbsase produced a fantastic tifo that read ‘the home of history makers’ on Tuesday.

“I want to be part of history at this club and keep pushing for more and keep building,” Kelly said.
