We’re delighted to announce that Kim Little has signed a new one-year contract.
Our captain first joined the club nearly 20 years ago in 2008 and has developed into one of the most highly acclaimed midfielders in the world, with 177 goals in 405 appearances across two spells with us.
Known for her dynamic style and composed leadership, Kim has won every club trophy possible during her time with Arsenal, most memorably our second UEFA Women’s Champions League title in Lisbon in May 2025. Our captain has also lifted five league titles, three FA Cups, seven League Cups, one Community Shield and the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
Born in Mintlaw in Scotland in 1990, Kim made the switch to Arsenal from Hibernian at the age of 17, having been scouted by our legendary manager Vic Akers. Her talent clear from a young age, Kim excelled alongside the likes of Kelly Smith, Faye White and Alex Scott before departing in 2014 for spells at Seattle Reign in the United States and Melbourne City in Australia, winning league titles at both clubs. She returned to North London in 2017, taking the captain’s armband a year later.
Kim scored 59 goals in 140 appearances for the Scotland national team between 2007 and 2021, when she announced her retirement from international football.
Kim has received several individual accolades during her career, including PFA Player of the Year in 2013, BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2016, and four inclusions in the PFA Team of the Year. She was awarded an MBE for services to football in the New Years Honours List in 2023.
Everyone at the club looks forward to enjoying Kim’s continued leadership and contribution here at Arsenal.
