WWE released several superstars from his roster before the episode of May 2, 2025 of Friday Night SmackDown. The restructuring occurred shortly after the company brought back to Rusev and Aleister Black, along with new hiring such as Penta and Rey Fenix.
Here are two more free agents than triple H and their team could sign after the recent reduction of their talent group.
#2 Paige could finally make his long -awaited return
Born as Saraya Bevis, the 32 -year -old fighter worked in the company as Paige from 2011 to 2022. He had retired from professional wrestling in April 2018 due to a neck injury when he was only 25 years old. However, he returned after his recovery. He later moved to AEW, where he fought as Saraya before leaving the promotion led by Tony Khan in February 2025.
The former two -time Divas Champion is one of the main free agents at this time, and has indicated that he could work with the company again. In a recent interview with El Podcast B4 The BellPaige said he would like to form a team with Rhea Ripley. He also pointed out that he would like to face several other outstanding fighters of the company.
“I feel that Rhea (Ripley) and I would form a very good team, I have said it. I would also love to fight her. I would love it … there are so many women against whom I want to fight, one day. Someday. Not soon, obviously. There is no space for me, (laughs), but I would love to face Rhea,” he said. (H/T: Fightful)
Therefore, triple H could bring her back to the headquarters in Stamford soon.
#1 Matt Cardona wants to finish his career at WWE
If there is another star in addition to Cody Rhodes who made a gigantic name after leaving WWE, Matt Cardona is undoubtedly. Known in the headquarters in Stamford as Zack Ryder, he fought for the company from 2006 to 2020, winning the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship once each. However, his career was rather disappointing, and seemed permanently caught in the half billboard.
At this time, Matt Cardona is one of the largest names of the independent circuit and is the current WSW heavyweight world champion in his third reign. Despite this, he still loves the headquarters in Stamford, and while talking in an interview with Fernando Quiles Jr. de Sports IllustratedHe said he wants to retire in the company.
“I think that now in the summer of 2024, having been released from WWE for four years, honestly I feel that I am closer to WWE's world title than I was when I worked for WWE … I am proud to be the 'indie god', I am proud to be GCW's face. But when everything is said and made, I want to finish my career in WWE.
It remains to be seen if the WWE universe will witness these two talents in a company's ring.
