We won all four of our matches in March, extending our run of consecutive victories in all competitions to 11.
The quartet of London derbies began with a 2-0 win away to London City Lionesses on our first Barclays Women’s Super League visit to Bromley, before we put five past West Ham United without reply at Emirates Stadium.
The goals kept coming in N5, where we then beat Chelsea 3-1 in the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals, before winning 5-2 in the north London derby.
ALESSIA RUSSO
Russo provided at least one attacking contribution in all four games in March, starting with an assist for Blackstenius by crossing from the left in our 2-0 win at London City.
She then scored the second goal of our 5-0 win over West Ham, and bagged the third of our 3-1 win against Chelsea.
The cream of the crop came at the end of the month in terms of Russo’s performances, firing in a 27-minute north London derby hat-trick.
CHLOE KELLY
After beating the right-back and crossing from the left, Kelly got the assist for Olivia Smith’s opener at London City.
She then scored a hat-trick against West Ham and got in on the act with our second goal against Chelsea.
Kelly also played 58 minutes of the north London derby.
SMILE HOLMBERG
Our flying full-back played 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in our 5-0 win over West Ham, also providing a brilliant assist for Russo with a cross from the right after a one-two with Smith, and she then got the assist for the final goal of the game from Beth Mead.
She came on in the 78th minute of our 3-1 win over Chelsea, before played 90 minutes of the north London derby, getting an assist for Caitlin Foord with another great cross from the right.
STINA BLACKSTENIUS
Blackstenius scored the second goal of our 2-0 win at London City after coming on in the 61st minute, and played 64 minutes of our 5-0 win over West Ham, getting the assist for Kelly’s second goal.
Our impact forward also played 78 minutes of our 3-1 win over Chelsea, scoring the opening goal, heading in from Katie McCabe’s free-kick, and assisting the final goal from Russo.
She then came on in the 58th minute of the north London derby, scoring the fifth and final goal.
