Over 20 Gunners will be going away to represent their nations during the April international break.
Our six Lionesses – Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Taylor Hinds, Leah Williamson, and Beth Mead – will be going head-to-head with Mariona Caldentey and Laia Codina when England host Spain at Wembley at 7pm on Tuesday, April 14.
Sarina Wiegman’s side will then face Iceland at Reykjavik at 5.30pm on Saturday, April 18, while Spain welcome Ukraine to Cordoba at 3pm on the same day.
England are currently top of Group C in the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers with two wins from two, ahead of second-placed Spain on goal difference.
Elsewhere in World Cup qualifying, Katie McCabe is set to face a double header against Poland with Republic of Ireland, and the same goes for Frida Maanum against Slovenia with Norway.
Sweden will tackle Denmark and Serbia, with Stina Blackstenius and Smilla Holmberg both called up for the former, and Daphne van Domselaar and Victoria Pelova are in contention for Netherlands’ matches against France.
Barbora Votikova is in the Czechia squad for their two World Cup qualifying games against Montenegro.
The new FIFA Series tournament also kicks off this month, which will see Caitlin Foord for Australia come up against Malawi, as well as either Kenya or India, while Canada’s Olivia Smith gets ready for matches with Zambia, South Korea and Brazil.
USA have a trio of friendlies lined up with Japan, which Emily Fox is in the squad for.
At youth level, Jessie Gale, Laila Harbert, and Vivienne Lia have all been called up to England’s under-23s for a European U23 League semi-final against Netherlands at 3pm on Monday, April 13 in Murcia, followed by a potential final v Sweden or Norway at 12pm on Friday, April 17.
As for the under-19s, Niamh Peacock and Cecily Wellesley-Smith could feature in UEFA Women’s U19 Championship qualifiers against Latvia, Wales and Switzerland, with Amy Liddiard taking part in training.
