Alessia Russo has been named Women’s Player of the Month for March.
Our forward has been on fire of late and won the fan-voted award with 65% of the vote. Smilla Holmberg was second, and Stina Blackstenius came third.
This is Russo’s seventh Player of the Month win since her first one in April 2024.
It’s also the second season in a row she has won the award in both February and March.
Russo provided at least one attacking contribution in all four games in March, starting with an assist for Blackstenius by crossing from the left in our 2-0 win at London City Lionesses.
She then scored the second goal of our 5-0 win over West Ham United, and bagged the third of our 3-1 win against Chelsea.
The cream of the crop came at the end of the month in terms of Russo’s performances, firing in a 27-minute north London derby hat-trick.
