Noni Madueke’s fine strike against Mansfield Town helped us hit 100 goals for the 2025/26 season.

The curling effort at the One Call Stadium was quickly followed by our 101st strike as Ebere Eze ensured we reached the quarter-final of the FA Cup with a thunderbolt.

As we hit the milestone for yet another season, let’s examine how we reached our latest ton.

sharing the load

Our tally after 46 matches now stands at 101 goals in 2025/26. Riccardo Calafiori got the goalscoring underway in our first game of the season as his close-range header defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.

Richy was the first of an incredible 19 different goalscorers to contribute to the 101 goals scored in 25/26 – with summer signing Viktor Gyokeres the biggest contributor on 15 goals so far.

Top scorers in 2025/26 (as of 09/03/26)

Viktor Gyokeres 15

Timing is everything and we’ve been able to come up with the goods on a consistent basis across the 90 minutes.

Noni’s goal in the 41st minute means we have bagged 15 goals between minutes 31 and 45. But our favourite times to score are all in the second half.

We’ve found the net 21 times in the opening 15 minutes of a second half, with another 19 coming between 61-75. We’ve then added another 21 goals in the final 15 minutes of matches, showing how strong we are at finishing games.

Goals aren’t just coming from lots of players but from all kinds of methods too.

Our productivity from set pieces has been well documented, but we’ve been finding the net from all angles in 2025/26 so far.

history beckons

We were the first English club to pass 100 goals in the 2025/26 season, a feat that was replicated by Manchester City several hours later in their 3-1 win over Newcastle United.

Only Barcelona and Bayern Munich have scored more goals than us across Europe’s top five leagues. Barca have 111 from 42 matches, with Bayern way out in front on 128 in just 38 matches.

We’ve now hit triple figures for a fourth successive campaign under Mikel Arteta and have already surpassed our tallies for 19/20, 20/21 and 21/22. It took us until April 20, 2025, to reach the 100-goal milestone last season.

2020/21 94 58

2023/24 113 52
2024/25 112 58
2025/26 101 46

Due to our high goalscoring performance in 2025/26 so far, only one season in the past 81 years has a better goals per game ratio than this campaign.

That came in 1952/53, when we averaged 2.39 goals per game. Our 2016/17 campaign, in which we won the FA Cup, also saw us average 2.2 goals per game, with 2023/24 narrowly behind on 2.17.
