A WWE former superstar was very close to capturing the World Heavyweight World Championship in the headquarters in Stamford. However, he did not materialize, and Mr. Kennedy (also known as Ken Anderson) has revealed what led to these unfortunate events.

In Wrestlemania 23, Mr. Kennedy won the fighting stairs Money in the Bank, obtaining the right to challenge for any world title in the company until the next showcase of the Immortals. However, in the episode of May 7, 2007 by WWE Monday Night Raw, Kennedy lost his Money In the Bank briefcase against Edge. Originally, these were not the plans.

Speaking in INSIGHT With Chris Van Vliet, Mr. Kennedy revealed that Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon informed him about the injury in the biceps of The Undertaker, which required surgery and time was as a reigning world champion.

The plan involved The Deadman in a cage fight, receiving more damage, and then Kennedy redeeming his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the championship.

“I entered and Vince and Stephanie explained the stage. 'Hey, Taker is injured.' I think the biceps was torn. Then they explained the stage for next week in SmackDown.

Why Mr. Kennedy could not redeem his briefcase in The Undertaker

In the same interview, Ken Anderson shared that he felt a burst in the triceps at a live WWE event before the planned exchange of Money in the Bank. Stephanie McMahon then informed former United States champion that the triceps had been torn, which required an absence of nine months of the competition in the ring.

This was the reason why Mr. Kennedy had to lose his Money in the Bank briefcase against The Rated-R Superstar, who eventually exchanged in The Undertaker to become the new WWE heavyweight world champion.

“Batista gave me a small clothesline, I fell, and I felt that something exploded in my triceps,” Anderson said. “The next day, Stephanie called me. He said, 'Ken, you tice the triceps of the bone. You will have to operate. You will be out for nine months. However, we still need to take that title from Taker, so we will send the jet to pick you. You will come to Penn State. Edge will challenge you for your briefcase, and then he will continue and will continue to do what you should do.

However, the injury turned out to be an erroneous diagnosis. When Kennedy became a second magnetic resonance, he revealed that the triceps tendon had not been torn from the bone and that it was only a simple bruise, which would have healed in about five weeks.
