A former multiple world champion will return to WWE after nine years, according to reports. However, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman said that the 47 -year -old competitor will not last long in the headquarters in Stamford.

Alberto del Rio initially joined WWE in 2009. He had a five -year career, during which he became a world champion on multiple occasions. However, he was fired after being involved in a controversial incident after the scenes. The Mexican star briefly returned to the company based in Stamford in 2015. However, it was released again the following year. After almost nine years, the promotion would have assumed the Rio contract after acquiring AAA.

When addressing the subject in The Coach & Bro ShowCoachman predicted that the rumored return of Del Rio would not last long:

“They did not sign Alberto del Rio again. They have their contract. My assumption is that it will not last long. It's just my instinct,” he said. (16:55 – 17:04)

A member of the WWE Hall of Fame thinks that Alberto del Rio is the best fighter in the world today

In an episode of the podcast Something to Wrestle Two months ago, the member of the Hall of Fame John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) praised Alberto del Rio after his appearance in AAA.

The 58 -year -old legend said that the Mexican star is the best fighter in the world today:

“That last fight they had with Del Rio, now known as the employer, was simply exceptional,” JBL said. “I think Alberto the Patron is the best fighter in the world today. Not in Mexico, not as Heel, the best fighter in the world. I have been in business for more than 30 years. I have seen them all, I have fought against all. I commented most of their fighting in WWE,” he said.

It will be interesting to see if the two -time heavyweight world champion will return to the main roster of the company based in Stamford in the coming weeks.
