We’re delighted to confirm that our men’s first team will head to Dublin for a high-profile pre-season fixture ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

We will be facing LaLiga side Real Betis on Wednesday, August 5 at the Aviva Stadium, with a 7.30pm local time kick-off.

This marks our first pre-season visit to the Republic of Ireland since August 2018, when we faced Chelsea in front of a packed Aviva Stadium. We also returned to Dublin in December 2020 during the pandemic era for a UEFA Europa League clash against Dundalk, which was played without supporters.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Richard Garlick, said: “We’re all excited to be coming back to Dublin in August. We have incredible support in the Republic of Ireland and we’re looking forward to playing a competitive pre-season match at the Aviva Stadium.

“Facing Real Betis will provide high-quality opposition and vital preparation ahead of the new season. It promises to be an exciting match and we’re really looking forward to connecting with our supporters in Dublin once again.”

Tickets will go on pre-sale from Wednesday, March 25 at 4pm (Dublin/London time) – at that time tickets can be purchased here.

Further details of our pre-season schedule for the 2026/27 campaign will be announced in due course.
