Once the international break is over, we head into the final two months of the season still fighting for trophies on three different fronts.

We lead the way in the Premier League with seven matches remaining, face Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-final, and take on Sporting CP in the last eight of the Champions League.

And, in addition to the titles on the line, there is also the potential for the team to break a variety of club records. Here we take a look at just some of the potential targets the team could achieve in April and May, and where we rank in terms of some of the most impressive feats across our 139-year history:

MOST WINS

With between 10 and 15 games to play, depending on our cup runs, we are currently on 38 victories this season in all competitions, from 50 matches. That is just three shy of the 41 wins achieved in 1970/71, when Bertie Mee’s side celebrated our first-ever league and FA Cup double. We played 64 matches that season, with 41 wins, 14 draws and 9 defeats.

The only other season we have recorded more wins than our current tally was another double-winning campaign. In 2001/02, we won 39 of our 60 matches, drawing 11 and losing 10. The Invincibles of 2003/04 won the league title unbeaten, and racked up 38 wins in all competitions, from 59 games.

The 38 wins this term also include nine in the Champions League, tying last season’s record-breaking haul. That means success against Sporting would see us hit double figures in the competition for the first time in the 22 editions we’ve participated in.

2025/26 50 38
2004/05 57 37
2013/14 56 37

*These figures all count games won or lost on penalty shootouts as defeats or victories.

MOST HOME WINS

We have won 21 matches at Emirates Stadium this season, just two shy of the most we won at our current home in a single season, back in 2017/18. We played 30 home games that term, and will play either 29 or 30 this time around.

However, when you look across our entire history, we are just four home wins short of our most in a campaign, which came in 1970/71 at Highbury. We are guaranteed five more home games in 2025/26, plus the tantalising prospect of a Champions League semi-final second leg in N5 should we advance past Sporting.

BEST WIN PERCENTAGE

Our overall win percentage so far this season is 76%, which is well on course to be the highest in our history. The previous best was set only a couple of seasons ago, at 67.3% in 2023/24 when we won 35 out of 52 matches, but what makes this season’s total more impressive is that we’ll play significantly more games, somewhere between 60 and 65.

Our loss percentage is down at just 8%, as we have only been defeated four times in 50 matches across competitions. The only time we have lost fewer was in 1990/91, when we were beaten three times, representing 6% of our 50 matches. These are the only two occasions in our history when our loss percentage has been in single figures.

MOST GOALS

We have scored 106 times this season, and need 15 more to tie our post-war record of 121 set in 2016/17, while 29 more would be required to tie the all-time club record which stands at 135 set back in 1930/31. But is that achievable?

We are averaging 2.12 goals per game so far, the 14th-best rate in our history. If we continue to score at that rate and progress in the FA Cup and Champions League, we are on course to surpass the 135 times we netted when Herbert Chapman guided us to our first league title.

MOST GOALSCORERS

We have had 20 different goalscorers this season, not including own goals, which is just two shy of our highest figure in a season – 22 eight campaigns ago in the aforementioned 2016/17.

Of our regular outfield players, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Myles Lewis-Skelly are yet to score this season, so could join the list. Of the 20, 17 have found the net in the Premier League, and Eberechi Eze is the only player to register in all four competitions.

MOST DEBUTANTS

We have had 14 players make their first-team debuts so far this season, the most in a single campaign since 2011/12 when we also handed out 14 Gunners bows. The last time there were more than that in a single season was way back in 1919/20, so should one more new face appear for us between now and the end of the season, it would set a new post-war record.

Of the 14 new debutants this season, five came up through the academy, including Max Dowman, who broke the records for our youngest starter and goalscorer this season, as well as becoming the youngest player to score a Premier League goal and play in the Champions League.

MOST GAMES

We have reached a half-century of games in all competitions so far in 2025/26, and could yet play the maximum 65 fixtures from the start of the season. However, that would only be the second most we have ever played in a season, behind the incredible 1979/80 campaign when he played 70 games, reaching the finals of the FA Cup and Cup Winners’ Cup but winning neither.

In more recent times, the most we have played is 61 (2008/09). The fewest we can play this season is now 60 – we have seven Premier League games left, at least one in the FA Cup, and at least two in the Champions League. If we go all the way to the final of that competition, we will equal the mark for most European fixtures in a season (15) set in 1999/2000 and 2018/19.

MOST CLEAN SHEETS

We have kept 15 clean sheets in the Premier League so far this season, with David Raya responsible for all of them, meaning our keeper is in line to win the Premier League Golden Glove award for the third consecutive season. He stands four ahead of Jordan Pickford and Gianluigi Donnarumma, with seven games remaining. However our best-ever tally in the Premier League cannot be toppled this term, which is 23 back in 1998/99.

David has also kept six clean sheets in the Champions League to take him up to 21 in total, while Kepa Arrizabalaga has kept three more in cup games. However, our current haul of 24 isn’t enough to top our best-ever total of 37, when Bob Wilson’s heroics in goal saw him amass an incredible number of shutouts.
