Caitlin Foord has been named in the FIFPRO Asia/Oceania Team of the Tournament following her performances at the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup.

The 31-year-old’s inclusion in the inaugural voted XI for this competition comes after starting all six matches and helping steer hosts Australia into the final, in which they were narrowly beaten by Japan.

Caitlin’s tournament highlights included a goal and three assists, crucially scoring the opener and setting up Sam Kerr for the eventual winner in a 2-1 semi-final victory against China in Perth – booking the Matildas’ spot at what was a home turf final in Sydney, attended by over 74,000 fans.

The FIFPRO Team of the Tournament award is the first of its kind in Asia and Oceania, with over 100 fellow professionals from competing nations voting for their standout peers at the competition, and follows in the footsteps of the prestigious FIFPRO World 11.

Foord’s contribution helped former Gunners boss Joe Montemurro and his side secure wins over the Philippines, Iran and North Korea before the semi-final against China, with the Matildas scoring 12 goals throughout the tournament.

Everyone at Arsenal congratulates Caitlin for her deserved recognition!
