Katie McCabe got another goal for Republic of Ireland in Saturday’s FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier against Netherlands.

After netting against France earlier in the week, our left-back scored from the penalty spot in Utrecht this weekend – the equalising goal amid Lineth Beerensteyn’s brace for the hosts.

Daphne van Domselaar and Victoria Pelova were both on the bench as Netherlands climbed to second in Group B, while Republic of Ireland remained bottom.

For England, Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo and Taylor Hinds all played the full 90 minutes of the Lionesses’ 2-0 win over Iceland in Nottingham, which came by way of goals from Lucy Bronze and Georgia Stanway.

Chloe Kelly came on in the 75th minute, while Lotte Wubben-Moy was an unused substitute as England remained joint top of Group C with Spain on six points.

The latter beat Ukraine 3-1 on Saturday, with Laia Codina playing the full 90 minutes and Mariona Caldentey given a rest on the bench.

There was a goalless draw for Smilla Holmberg as Sweden held Serbia to a point apiece away from home, keeping a clean sheet in the process and remaining second in Group A. Stina Blackstenius came on in the 56th minute, before Gunners loanee Rosa Kafaji was introduced in the 75th.

Frida Maanum became the 22nd player in history to reach 100 games for Norway’s women’s national team as she played 67 minutes of Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at home to Germany to go second in Group D.

Overseas, Emily Fox played the full 90 minutes to help the USA win the SheBelieves Cup, Alyssa Thompson scoring the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute to secure a 1-0 victory over Colombia.
